Hayden's preschool took a field trip to the Fire Station, and I was lucky enough to be able to go with him!! The firemen did a great job showing us around the firehouse, showing us our uniform, giving fire safety tips, and of course, Hayden's favorite part... seeing all the firetrucks!! They opened them all up and let all the kiddos climb around inside!!
When we came home from the field trip, we had a yummy Firetruck lunch. Fire Captain Hayden had some fun playing with his firetrucks, as well as his fire hose (garden hose) outside on this warm summer-like day. After dinner, we also practiced some of the fire safety tips we learned today, such as Stop, Drop, and Roll, checking out the smoke detectors in our house, and practicing 911 with a fake phone.
