14?!?!  Time needs to slow down! What better way to celebrate than a camping trip near St. Louis!

Happy Birthday, Hayden & Henry!

 

I can't believe it is their birthday already!!  It is a little more difficult this year having their birthdays a few days apart, and trying to find a place that they both could enjoy for their party!  We had a GREAT time this year at the Hampton Inn for a pool party with family!

Happy 6th Birthday, Hayden!!

I can not believe it has been 6 years, since Hayden has become part of our lives!!  This past year, he has hit so many milestones, and has grown into an adorable, sweet little guy!  

• Lost 5 teeth... a few by accident.
• Learned to ride a bike without training wheels
• Accomplished tying his shoes
• Has soared through kindergarten; such a strong reader, and loves Math & Science
• SO curious and loves to ask questions
• Loves to dance, tell silly jokes, and can whiz through mazes
• Very creative with legos and anything else that involves building

We celebrated his sixth year with a Lego party.  Thankfully, my mom was in town to help with the cake, since we were bringing little Henry home on his birthday.  One of his birthday presents, was a trip to see The Globetrotters, since he has enjoyed playing basketball this past year.

Happy 5th Birthday, Hayden!!

Today, we had a wonderful time celebrating Hayden's 5th birthday!!  We started the day with a few surprises!   Since Hayden first moved to his big boy bed, he has been asking if could have breakfast in bed, so what better day to let him than his birthday, so we woke him up with a donut/candle... he was so happy! :)  We also had a few more surprises that included birthday wishes written on his bathroom mirror, a present full of balloons, and a decorated door that he had to break-through. 

Another surprise on his birthday, was Jake and I going to his preschool to eat lunch with him and bring Rice Krispie treats for his class!  So thankful his teacher has a neat tradition!! :)

After preschool, we decided to take Hayden to the Nascar Speedpark for some Birthday fun.  Aside from a mini-train ride and arcades.  Hayden was also able to drive his first go-kart all by himself!  Couldn't think of a better present for him... he was so proud of himself!

To wrap-up Hayden's 5th birthday celebration, we headed home for presents, cake, and a few 

Outer Space activities!

Hayden's Birthday Cake

One of my FAVORITE birthday traditions, is the night before Hayden's b-day when Jake and I stay up (way too late) creating Hayden's birthday cake!  This year, it was by far the easiest cake out of the 5 we have made.  Hayden requested a Rocket Ship with yellow, orange and blue colors... and we were asked to not forget some M&M's. :)

35th Birthday Weekend

This weekend Hayden and Jake helped me celebrate my 35th birthday!!  They had a lot of fun things planned for me; Nutcracker, looking at Christmas Lights, & Maggiano's on Saturday, The Morton Arboretum, Arthor the Elf movie, & Fuddrucker's on Sunday, and Hayden's Preschool Christmas Musical tonight!!!

Happy Birthday, Jake!!

Today we celebrated Jake's 34th birthday!!!  Hayden actually spent the night at his cousins' house, so Jake & I could have a date night!!  I took Jake shopping for work clothes, enjoyed a YUMMY dinner at Melting Pot, and then saw Bridesmaids.  The next day, after picking Hayden up we celebrated Jake's birthday again. :) After opening presents, we went bowling, then took Jake for a burger and back home for some Thunderbird Cake! :)
