First Parent/Teacher Conference

Today, Hayden didn't have preschool due to Parent/Teacher Conference time.  Which means this was my first conference as a parent, instead of a teacher.  This gave me a whole new perspective!

It was pretty funny to hear Hayden's point of view.  Before we left for the conference, I asked Hayden what he thought his teacher was going to talk to us about.  Below was our conversation:
Mommy: What do you think Miss Alaine is going to tell us that you do really well at school?
Hayden:  That I am a good listener and that I share and am nice to everyone.
Mommy: That is great to hear, Hayden.  What do you think Miss Alaine will say that you need to work on at school?
Hayden:  She is going to say that I take too long to eat my snack, because I still have juice in my cup when it is time to clean up.
Mommy:  Anything else?
Hayden:  She is also going to say that I pick my nose!  (This was hilarious to hear!!  Hayden has had a runny nose lately, and we have been harping on him to use a kleenex instead of his finger or sleeve... which is understandable since he is 3.)

We had such a nice conference with his preschool teacher!  It was great to hear that Hayden is very strong with his letter, number, shape and color recognition!  His teacher said that he is very passionate about books and is always excited to learn.  She said he loves to share his connections during storytime! :)  Thankfully, his teacher didn't mention the nose picking ;), but she did say that Hayden needs to work on transitioning from one activity to another.  Sometimes, he doesn't want to stop playing when they move on to another activity... definitely has a stubborn streak! :)
