So, how is your day?

It has been a little over a month since the school year has ended and Hayden & I have been home full-time... I am LOVING it!!  Aside from all the fun activities and crafts we do, I have been able to see him grow and change in so many ways!!

Hayden is definitely turning into a little boy, and not so much a toddler. The past few days, I began going through his playroom and bedroom, and started to pack up the "baby toys" as he calls them, and board books.  I also realized that the last of the "infant/toddler" items is pretty much the booster seat which he doesn't use anymore, so down in the basement it goes!  He is growing up so fast!! :(

His personality is also starting to change, and he definitely isn't as shy as he use to be.  Today, we were in Old Navy and he spent the entire time dancing out in the middle of the aisles and would just giggle as people walked by!  Along with his cute sense of humor, he has developed a stubborn streak...  thankfully (knock on wood), his temper tantrums aren't as frequent, but he has now turned to pouting/sulking.  When he doesn't get his way, he will cross his arms and say, "I'm mad", then he will make a sighing noise.  His stubborness then kicks in, and he will just sit there, and try to wait us out.

He has also developed a mischevious side.  The good part though, is that I can read his face, and I will typically know that he did something he shouldn't by his facial expressions!  He tends to inadvertantly give away what he did, by saying, "I wasn't playing with that." For example, today when I was talking on the phone, he decided to throw the rest of his dinner in the garbage can while I wasn't looking... When I asked him what he just did, he replied, "I didn't touch the garbage can." Which basically told he just put something in there!

The best change I have seen in him is his conversations!!  During dinner, he will often ask, "So, how was your day? What was your favorite part?"  It cracks me up everytime!  It feels like I am talking to a little man!
