Spring Day + Sidewalk Chalk= Fun Afternoon

Although the weather isn't as summer-like today as it was yesterday, it is still really nice, so we decided to break out the sidewalk chalk!

Easter Sensory Bin

I would never have guessed that Hayden would love Easter Grass so much!  Although, I should have known that it would only take a few minutes before his construction trucks found their way into it. :)

Easter Countdown

We have been having some Easter fun while counting down to Bunny Day!  Hayden is so excited to pick an Easter Egg from the basket that has different Easter Activities inside.  Today we decorated coffee filter Easter Eggs with markers and  spray bottles.  Last year, we tried Butterflies with this technique, and I must say he definitely is more into this year now that he is a little older. :)

Handyman

Hayden was so happy after the UPS driver dropped off our delivery... a new reading chair for our bedroom!  At first, Hayden wanted to put the chair together by himself, luckily I was able to talk him into waiting for Daddy to have him help. ;)  After dinner, Hayden ran into his playroom to grab his hard hat & tools, and was ready to work on the chair!

Mail Carrier Hayden

While Hayden and I were working on his thank you cards for his b-day presents, he had a lot of questions about how we get mail.  I love how inquisitive he is at this age!  So, the past few days we have been having fun learning about the Post Office and mail carriers.  :)

We had a Mail Muffin Tin lunch
Flag strawberries, pudd'ink', pencil cheese, letter bread, fruit stamps, and envelope graham cracker
After playing mail carrier, we also sent our thank you cards in the mailbox.  We also thought it would be fun to take a trip to the post office... he enjoyed weighing our mail on the scale.  Hayden also drew Fumble a picture that we sent from the post office.  We are counting to see how many days it will take for our picture for Fumble to arrive at our house.

Swim Lessons

Hayden started swim lessons today, and did an AWESOME job!  I was a little unsure how he was going to react when I left, but he didn't even flinch.  He happily tried everything the teacher asked; put his face in the water, float on the water noodle, jump in the pool, etc.  Hayden can't wait to go again on Thursday!

Nice weather = Scooter time

Even though the nice sunshine can be misleading, it is still great to get outside!  Hayden has been itchin' to take his b-day scooter out for a ride!!

April Fool's Day

Today, we had so much fun with a lot of laughs!  Hayden is at an age, where he thinks everything is silly, so he really enjoyed April Fool's Day.  This morning, when I woke him up, I had silly glasses on... his reaction was hilarious.  He looked right at me and said, "You're funny!" then went into the bathroom. Not the reaction I was expecting, but still funny.
For breakfast, Hayden was all giggles!  I told him he was going to have French Fries & Ketchup... he thought it was so funny, when he bit into them and found out it was toast & strawberry jelly!  He also enjoyed trying to eat his cereal with blue milk with a large spoon and drink his smoothie with a tiny straw! :)
For a snack after naptime, I gave Hayden "juice", after he tried drinking it, he realized it wasn't juice but jello! :)  We also had some fun using are window markers to make silly faces on our pictures!
Then we ended the night with some yummy cupcakes for dinner (meatloaf & mashed potatoes) and pizza for dessert (Rice Krispie treats)!
