Brookfield Zoo

To add to our week of Day trips, we headed to the Brookfield Zoo. This was our first time all summer visiting the zoo, which isn't typical for us, we usually go a few times a summer. Glad we were able to enjoy it on such a beautiful Fall like day!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

After keeping our fingers crossed all day for the weather to cooperate, we thankfully headed out to Geneva to watch the Kane County Cougars play baseball. We had a fun time enjoying hot dogs and cotton candy, as well as playing in the kidzone bouncers! During the 7th inning, the weather started to turn so we decided to pack it up and head home. We were on the road just in time to avoid the downpour. Hayden did a great job at his very first ball game! We look forward to more ball games next season!!

1st Day of Preschool

My little Preschooler!
Time to wake up, First day of Preschool!
1st Day of School Schultute!
Admiring all of his goodies!
First day of school Breakfast! He requested PBJ pancakes and a smoothie!
Making his first year of preschool wish!
His first teacher gift! I can definitely remember enjoying these the first few days of school! :)

Thankfully no tears from him! But I unfortunately, bawled like a baby! He just wanted to play with the trucks! :)
Saying goodbye! I think he couldn't wait for us to leave to get back to those trucks! :)

He was very excited to show us what was in his back pack!

Night Before Preschool Family Dinner

Only one more day until preschool!! After removing one of his last links on his countdown, Hayden checked his book bag. I used luggage tags to attach pictures of us on his back pack. That way, if he missed us or was sad at school, he could look at our pictures!! He seemed to like that idea. :)

Tomorrow is Hayden's 1st Day of Preschool! I have such mixed emotions... I am EXTREMELY happy that I am able to stay home this year so he can go, but at the same time, I can't believe he is almost 3 1/2! :( To celebrate the beginning of the school year, we had a family school themed dinner! We made apple cupcakes, which turned out adorable! We also had Hayden's new favorite, PBJ sandwiches... aka... notebook paper/markers (I found edible markers to draw on your food... huge hit!) We also had number fruit snacks, letter tater tots, and pencil cheese sticks!
After dinner, we helped Hayden with his first homework assignment, which was a "getting to know you" activity. He was so excited and tried his hardest to make it colorful!

Legoland

Today, we continued our week of "Daycations" with a trip to Legoland! I think I liked it just as much as Hayden did! There were so many little things to do there such as; look at an awesome Chicago exhibit made from Legos, a dragon coaster ride through mid-evil times, a neat 4-D movie, workshop to create the Sears Tower, a mini-factory tour of how legos are made, plus helicoptor rides, and an open area to create anything you wanted with TONS of legos! This is definitely a place we will go back to!!

More great pictures that captured our day at Legoland!
