I'm trying to transition Hayden out of sippy cups, and into using regular cups. I told him, that soon I can get rid of all the sippy cups, because he is becoming a big boy. He asked, "Instead of getting rid of them, can I save the sippy cups? That way if I ever have a brother or sister, they can use my baby cups." awe... Jake and I better start getting on that. :)
Hayden and I were driving by Tillers, a senior citizen home, and he was curious as to what type of place it was. I explained to him that sometimes, when people get older, they can't take care of themselves on their own, so they have to live in a place with other older people, and they have nurses to take care of them. He replied, "It sounds like a nice place, can I live there when I get older?" On one hand, his innocent question made me smile, on the other hand it made me sad thinking of him as being that old.
Today, Hayden shocked Jake and I by speaking Spanish. He was describing flowers and the different colors they could be, but he was saying all of the colors in Spanish... super cute and so exciting that he is learning new things at preschool!
Hayden is learning about the five senses at school this week. So while we were eating breakfast I was asking him a few questions...
What is your favorite sound... a train whistle
What is your favorite smell... coal on a coal train ?
What is your favorite thing to look at... my train set
I think you get the idea... he sure loves trains!! :)
