Christmas in Illinois

Took a road trip back to Illinois and stayed for a week with Grandma!

We spent the afternoon at Randy & Sheryl's for Christmas dinner, scavenger hunt, and crafts!

We also had fun playing Christmas Win It in a Minute... so bummed my camera broke in the middle of it! So much fun!

Gift from Charlie

This morning, our Elf Charlie, brought an interesting gift back with him from the South Pole.  After putting the movie into the laptop, Hayden was so excited to see Santa's message to him!! :)

Getting Ready for Christmas

Today, we were very excited to start getting ready for xmas!  We put up the tree, decorated, had a visit from our Elf, and enjoyed little meat soup! :)

The elves came... curious to see if they left any goodies...

They left a good boy chart to fill in for Santa on Christmas Eve.

 The elves also left a few goodies to play with until Christmas!

Chi-Town Thankgiving Weekend

                                  

We stuck around Chicago for a few more days after Thanksgiving.  Nikki and Corey were WONDERFUL hosts!!  The cousins had a sleepover, as well as enjoying a ride on the subway, a visit to Chriskrindle Market, dinner at Dick's Last Resort, and viewing the Macy's Christmas Window Displays!

Hayden's 1st Football Game

Although, Jake would have preferred Hayden's first football game to be a Chicago Bear's one, he couldn't pass up free tickets to the NC Panthers' game.  Hayden had so much fun yelling "defense", eating hot dogs & popcorn, and seeing the airplanes do a flyover!

It's a Boy!

Recently, we had our 18-week ultrasound.  Thankfully, our baby is healthy, and it went very well!  We also found out that we will be having baby boy #2!!  Hayden was EXTREMELY happy!!!

It was so cute... he was giving Hayden a thumb's up. :)

Fall in NC

My FAVORITE thing about NC is the weather!  Summer weather continued until the past few weeks this November.  Now Fall is starting, and it is beautiful!  70's, sunny, and the leaves are bright orange... love it!!

Last day of Baseball

Hayden finished his first baseball season!  He did such a great job, and loved playing!  He was so excited to earn his first trophy!  He couldn't wait to put it on his bedroom shelf before bedtime!

Car Show at Nascar Speedway

Jake and Hayden went to a massive car show at the Nascar Speedway.   Hayden loved watching cars drive around the speedway track.  Thankfully, Jake took a few pictures for me!
