Yippee, it's snowing!

Hayden was so excited to wake up to see that it was snowing! I wish I was as excited about snow like he is! :) Because he was so excited, we had another winter themed day! After preschool, we worked on a few snowmen crafts since the snow wasn't packable enough to build real ones.

He was extremely excited when Jake came home and was shoveling the driveway!
After having some fun in the snow, we made Snow Ice Cream... turned out to be pretty tasty!!

We ended the night with an inside Numbers snowball fight... saying that Hayden enjoyed it, is an understatement! :)
Snow Ice Cream recipe:
Place a large bowl outside to collect the snow.
Mix the following together with snow...
About 1 cup sugar
1 tblsp vanilla extract
2 cups milk
sprinkles

A little more Christmas... :)

You can't pass up Christmas Crafts on Clearance. :)  Hayden was so excited that he was going to make Rice Krispie treats, but even happier that they would be in the shape of a train... of course!! :)

Highlights of 2010

The past few days, I have gone through Hayden's blog to see what milestones I needed to add to his baby book from 2010... WOW, what a year Hayden has had!  He has grown into a little boy so quickly :(.  Although, it makes me sad that Hayden is getting big so fast, we are SOOOO very proud of our little man!!

During 2010, Hayden...
  • officially became potty trained
  • learned to spell and write his name
  • turned 3
  • started "riding" a big boy bike
  • transitioned from a crib to a toddler bed
  • had ear surgery (THANKFULLY hasn't had an ear infection since his adenoids were removed!!)
  • helped Mommy pack up her classroom to stay home with him(YIPPEE)
  •  participated in two team sports; soccer & t-ball
  • cheered Daddy on in Chicago during the marathon
  • successfully started preschool!!!
Holy Cow, that was a mouthful!
We have been extremely blessed with a wonderful year, can't wait to see what 2011 holds for us!!

New Year's Day and Bowling

What a great way to start the New Year!!  We went bowling, and Hayden did such a great job!  We also stopped at Toys R Us to spend one of the gift cards and of course... Hayden picked out another train and puzzle. :)  Then we ended our 1st day of the year enjoying some yummy Mexican food and chocolate empanadas!! :)

I think he liked the Nachos just as much as bowling!

Jake requested for his score not to be posted. ;)
